Dr. Nada Endrissat is professor in the Business School at Bern University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland. She studied psychology at Free University of Berlin and received her Ph.D. in management from the University of Basel in Switzerland. Her current research interests include materiality, leadership, and the creative industries. She was a co-applicant for the research project Wissensduft.
Marta Kwiatkowski is Senior Researcher at the Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute (GDI). She analyses economic, social and technological changes. She holds a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Curating from Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and MAS in Customer Relationship Management from Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). Apart from her job as a researcher at the GDI, Marta is an independent curator and is the curator of the project for art in public, the “Westfenster” in Bern Bümpliz.
Robert Lzicar is a lecturer at the HKB and the HSLU Design & Kunst, a researcher at the HKB and a PhD-candidate at the Graduate School of the arts. He received a BA degree in visual Communication at the HfG FH Schwäbisch-Gmünd and an M.A. in research on the arts at the University of Bern. His main research interest is the historiography of Swiss graphic design and how it influences current concepts of graphic design education, practice and dissemination. In the context of the research project “Wissensduft” he was in charge of the design analysis and the exhibition at the Museum Bellerive.
Dr. Claus Noppeney is a professor at Bern University of Applied Sciences. He studied management & economics at the University of St. Gallen, from which he holds a master degree and a summa cum laude doctorate. He has further conducted studies & research at Duke University and Harvard University. He started his career in an international management consulting firm leading numerous strategy & organization development projects. Since 2009, he has engaged in research on scent development, olfactory art, smell at the workplace, and the role of the senses (e.g., smell) for organizing practices. In 2014, he initiatied and co-founded Scent Culture Institute. Professional speaker engagement included the World Perfumery Congress, the St.Gallen Management Symposium and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Bettina Rychener is an independent cultural producer. Working in the program department at Zentrum Karl der Grosse (2014/2015), she gained experience with different kinds of public debate as well as experimental and collaborative forms of sharing views and knowledge. She studied at the University of Bern and the Justus-Liebig-Universität in Giessen. She recently graduated from the latter with a Master of Arts in Applied Theatre Studies with a focus on aesthetics of performing arts. She is interested in the interdependence of space, emotion and the senses, lately as a performer in Caroline Creutzburg’s “b open – eine spekulative Sendung über das Wesen des Radios” (Freischwimmerfestival 2014/15 in Wien, Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf & Zürich).
Andreas Wilhelm is a perfumer and the founder and director of Wilhelm Perfume, which creates fragrances for different applications, from signature scents for companies and room scents for art events, to organic soft drinks, amongst others. Wilhelm Perfume also offers consultant services for fragrance companies around the world, including Seluz in Istanbul, Turkey, and Weleda, the market leader in natural cosmetic in Europe. Andreas trained at Givaudan, Fruitarome, and Luzi between 1993 and 1999, before starting his own fragrance house, hoping to bring the fragrant world of perfumery closer to clients and further away from the industry driven mainstream.

Eddie Bulliqi is a perfume writer based in London working on olfactory metaphysics. His research is focused on developing artistic and intellectual understandings of perfumery, probing olfactory meanings, and exploring interdisciplinary art theories across the fields of linguistics, philosophy, psychoanalysis, sociology, and structuralism. He read History of Art at the Courtauld Institute and currently is part of the Global Marketing team at Jo Malone London (Estée Lauder Companies). In 2016, Eddie’s work was nominated for two Fragrance Foundation UK Jasmine Awards. As an Associate of the Scent Culture Institute, Eddie coordinates its UK-based activity.
Dana El MASRI is a perfumer and olfactive writer. She is the founder of Parfums Jazmin Saraï, a collection of perfumes inspired by songs and synesthesia. Dana’s work focuses on scent, music and culture, and finding the connections between all three, whether in the form of custom-made perfumes, working with musicians, or scenting spaces. Her aim is to focus on the role of scent in social interaction, to educate the public about the world of scent, and bring perfumery as a form of artistic expression to the forefront. Dana has collaborated with fellow perfumers, completed a residency at the Institute of Art and Olfaction in 2014, and won the Jasmine Literary Award for her piece in Odou Magazine in London in 2015.
Ashraf Osman is an olfactory art specialist (curator, critic and historian) and architect. He is founder-director of Artinect, a consultancy that connects art and people, virtually and physically, and advisor of the Institute for Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles. He holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Curating from Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), with a focus on olfactory art and socially-engaged art, and a Master of Architecture from Syracuse University in New York. Ashraf taught Interdisciplinary Design Foundations for 2 years at Philadelphia University, and is the author of a brief academic survey of olfactory art in the 20th century, as well as ScentArt.net, a resource for scent art in the 21st century.
